It was cold and it was raining from the morning.

The semi final of the International Contest of the Best Sommelier of Asia-Oceania started behind closed doors at Rihga Royal Hotel at 8:00 in the morning.

A test of their practical skills in service and a blind tasting with making comments in English were conducted in the morning.

The applicants participated in the Buffet Lunch with Japanese Wine together with Directors of the ASI.

They talked about their result of the test and took a rest.

They allowed themselves to drink only a little of Japanese wine because they would have to tackle a written test in the afternoon
Still they talked about various refined wine including Koshu.

The written test, the tests for the Peter Lehmann Shiraz Award as well as the SOPEXA French Wine Award were performed in the afternoon.
